logo development

Creating a visual identity starts with a meaningful logo to represent the company. Flower Pedals is a company that recently entered the industry of effects pedals. Branding is key to selling a product like this where much of the costumers will find the company through web and social media platforms. The logo took many months of development before we were happy with this simple san-serif typography with guitar picks in a petal layout to represent Flower Pedals.

When coming up with the Pedal designs themselves there was a delicate balance of using the image of flowers without the design coming across as too much flower. Each of the pedals that the company designs is named after a different flower. I wanted to use a unique image of each flower and find a way to make the designs to look technical and modern to represent the electronic complexity of the pedals. We decided on a low resolution polygon illustration that is used on all pedals and uniquely represents each one while keeping consistency.
"I like the sort of DigiArt on the Pedal. I love it, I really love it"
Mick Taylor, That Pedal Show
There has been a lot of positive feedback from the Flower Pedals customers that the art on the pedals is really what draws them in to the product.
